The First Watch Aquatic Safety Founding Partner Program is an opportunity for schools, municipalities, camps, aquatic centers, recreation departments, and community organizations to become early supporters of a regional effort focused on aquatic safety, workforce readiness, and operational continuity.
As a Founding Partner, your organization will help shape the future of the First Watch Aquatic Reserve Network while gaining access to valuable resources designed to strengthen aquatic operations and address ongoing workforce challenges.
Across Michigan, aquatic facilities continue to face challenges related to lifeguard recruitment, retention, and staffing shortages. These challenges can lead to reduced operating hours, canceled programs, increased workload on existing staff, and unexpected facility closures.
First Watch Aquatic Safety was created to help facilities respond proactively through workforce development, professional networking, aquatic safety consulting, and access to the First Watch Aquatic Reserve Network.
